We are very pleased to welcome you to our new BICECA Web Portal. The Portal is a toolbox for those people looking for an alternative information source on IIRSA- the Initiative for the Integration of Regional Infrastructure in South America. In the BICECA Web Portal you will find news, events, reports, analysis, and an extensive database with key information on IIRSA projects.
Our goal is an information service that widens the public debate on IIRSA—a multi-billion dollar bank initiative that will affect the environment and livelihoods of all of the inhabitants of South America. In order to open and engage effectively with the processes of South American integration, citizens need up-to-date, precise information. To forge their own positions, strategies, and proposals for integration, they need to thoroughly understand the plans of governments, the development banks and the private sector corporations that are driving IIRSA.
We hope that the BICECA Web portal will help you to keep abreast of IIRSA, and that it also helps to reinforce the networks for citizen engagement that are presently forming to confront the challenges of regional integration.
